Repository Services

Deep Blue is the University of Michigan’s institutional repository service. The repository preserves and provides access to the work that makes Michigan a leader in research, teaching, and creativity. We offer this service to all faculty, staff, and student scholars, representing our affiliates as individuals and as an integral part of our dynamic scholarly community.

So what can Deep Blue do for you? Think about how you’d want to direct your work if you were a film maker:

Your Research: The Director’s Cut
Peer reviewed publications are the gold standard, but there’s often more to your work than what’s in the edited version: Color images, audio or video clips, datasets, additional notes, and websites don’t always make the cut. Deep Blue supports all of these and more, and will present them together with the peer reviewed version via a single, permanent URL.

Your Research: The Prequel
It’s a digital world now, but it wasn’t always. Working papers, photographs, videotapes, lab or field notes: your work has taken many forms over the years. Your peers want to know what you’re doing, and what you’ve done. We can help you convert this material to digital form and make it available online.
