Copyright Services

The Copyright Office develops copyright policy for MLibrary and works closely with a number of initiatives within MPublishing, including HathiTrust Digital Library and Deep Blue.  We also partner with other Library-sponsored programs like the Google Books project and the Copyright Review Management System (whose job it is to identify works with expired copyrights so that digital versions can be made publicly available).

In addition to helping with institutional policy-making, we are here to offer personal guidance for navigating the complex realm of copyright – ensuring that our faculty, students, and staff have the knowledge and the tools they need to become the beneficiaries, and not the victims, of an ever-changing copyright landscape.
